The healing of the craniotomy and radiation treatment went well and quick.  Although the Chemo medication did have some side effects, it also went well and no tumor growth shown during the MRI results.

Chemo medication was taken at home and continued it for two years.  During this time, I had regular blood draws and an MRI every three months. 

Last Chemo medication was taken Christmas week, 2025. The three-month MRI after that also did not show any growth.  I will continue with the three-month MRI and follow-up appointments for the foreseeable future.

Radiation treatment went well, but did cause a little hair loss in the area that was treated.

January 27, 2024, I woke up unable to hold a conversation. I could understand what people were saying but couldn't respond correctly. Amber took me to the ER and I was given Anti-seizure medication. I was taken to UC Health in Colorado Springs and had an MRI done. They found the Brain tumor, it must have grown since the first brain scan. I previous had seizures where I had passed out, first one about 13 years ago.  I had a brain scan that found an abnormality, but didn't follow up on it.

To remove the tumor, I had an Awake craniotomy. They were able to remove most of it, but not all.

The Awake craniotomy was done at UC Health in Aurora, and it went well and I was released sooner than normal.

The tumor was biopsied and it was determined that it was Oligodendroglioma, Grade 3.

To fight the remaining tumor, I started taking chemo medication and did a six-week radiation treatment.  The radiation treatment was done at UC Health in Colorado Springs. Five days a week during the six weeks.  Type your paragraph here.
